Pupils crossing roads
When crossing roads near the school, could pupils please use the crossings provided on Whitemoss Road or the underpasses.
Never run across the road as it only takes an error of judgement once for something life changing to happen.

2016 Shoebox Appeal
A huge thank you to everyone who made an effort to help this appeal. From the bringing in of gift items, paper and shoeboxes to the painstaking job of checking the contents and writing cover labels, every bit of help has been appreciated.
It was a busy week with many pupils offering to give up their lunchtime to help with the wrapping and packing of the boxes which was lovely as often this gift of time is the hardest one to give.
Almost 100 boxes were collected this morning and the Blytheswood charity were extremely grateful.

Advent
Our school Masses for Advent will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8.20am in the Oratory. Please make an effort to come along and spiritually prepare for Christmas.

EK CHURCHES TOGETHER FOOD BANK
Last year pupils (and parents) contributed 200 food parcels in the week before Christmas and 160 Christmas Day parcels on 23 December. Therefore our S6 Charities Committee has decided to make an appeal again this year.
There is a need in East Kilbride for us to support each other. The Food Bank tells us that:
1 in 5, and in some areas in EK 1 in 3, children live in poverty.
The Food Bank distributed over 450 food parcels per month in the past year
The 6th year will collect by year on specific days:
S5/6 - Monday                S1 – Tuesday                   S2 - Wednesday                 S3 – Thursday              S4 – Friday
Of course, pupils can hand in food any day.
The list of the items which the Food Bank distributes is;
Tins of Soup, Beans, Tuna, Meat, Hotdogs, Packets of Pasta, Noodles, Tins of Vegetables, Jars of Pasta Sauce or Tins of Tomatoes, Boxes of Cereal          Teabags, UHT Milk, Cartons of Fresh or Diluting Juice, Tins of Pudding Fruit, Packets of Biscuits, Jars of Jam,Toilet Roll, Soap, Shower Gel, Toothpaste
